Baby Rose Releases Timeless and Soulful R&B Album ‘Through and Through’
Featuring collaborations with Smino and Georgia Anne Muldrow.
Atlanta-based singer and Hypebeast Best New Artist alumni Baby Rose has returned with her sophomore album, Through and Through. Arriving two years after her debut LP To Myself, in which the Atlanta-based singer performed entirely solo, the new album sees her team up with Smino and Georgia Anne Muldrow for two striking new tracks.
On the Smino-featuring “I Won’t Tell,” Baby Rose experiments with a funky, dance-ready disco beat. “Fight Club” with Muldrow, meanwhile, is a comparably dark, murkier R&B cut, hearing Baby Rose dip into cavernous low-toned vocals.
Across the board, Through and Through is a standout example of Baby Rose’s timeless voice, evocative of some of the R&B greats of decades past, and her versatility across genres.
Along with dropping off Through and Through, Baby Rose has shared a music video for the track “Dance With Me,” directed by Eric Saulsberry.
Next month, the singer will be heading on her co-headlining Through The Soul tour with fellow artist Q, beginning with a performance in Toronto on May 28. Tickets for the tour, which runs till late June, are still available online.
