CUPRA Explores the Realms of Automotive Creation at Berlin “Exponential Impulse” Event
Seeing the launch of its collaborative metaverse platform and all-electric Tavascan car.
For Spanish car brand CUPRA, new innovations in craftsmanship land at the heart of its ethos, leading to a wide range of releases. Ahead of Formula E weekend in Berlin, the brand brings its latest creations into one experiential space, giving fans a rare chance to get hands-on with new-age CUPRA.
The brand constructed a festival-like arena where guests were truly immersed in its automotive journey through installations, test drives and expert talks. At the forefront of the futuristic showcase was CUPRA’s new “MetaHype” attraction that indicated its virtually-led community focus.
Hosted within the rapidly advancing metaverse, the brand’s “open and collaborative” “MetaHype” platform invites brands, start-ups and any other creator to connect with users on its digital island. Through a unique gamification system that rewards players for engagement, the platform aims to help participating brands – such as Primavera – shape their future through insightful exchanges. Sampling this at the event, CUPRA allowed guests to personalize the digital “DarkRebel” sports car, showing how these interactions can influence car creation in the future.
Going from virtual to IRL, the Impulse showcase also celebrated the launch of Tavascan – the brand’s first-ever SUV coupe with an electric engine. Initially revealed at Frankfurt Motor Show in 2019, the dynamic car marks a monumental feat in both CUPRA’s modern range and in its lasting legacy, lending its dual-motor, all-wheel drive blueprint to future cars in development. Other features include a state-of-the-art innovation hub, progressive steering and Sport DCC chassis technology to elevate the driving experience of an otherwise weighty SUV.
