Microsoft Adds to Xbox’s Wireless Controller Lineup With Iconic ‘Velocity Green’ Colorway

For gamers globally, a medium-toned slime green immediately brings to mind Xbox. The color has become somewhat synonymous with the company’s branding, featured in its logo, on game boxes and across its marketing and branding campaigns.

Xbox fanatics can now rep the color while gaming with Microsoft’s latest addition to its wireless controller lineup. Previously, the company rolled out bright handheld controllers in shades such as “Shock Blue,” “Pulse Red,” “Deep Pink” and “Electric Volt.”

Now, the lineup has expanded with “Velocity Green,” a vibrant controller matching the classic Xbox aesthetic. Green carries throughout the body of the controller and joysticks, contrasting with a crisp white back.

Textured grip and a hybrid D-pad maintain the reliable feel of Xbox’s controllers while granting gamers extra control for the 40 hours of the handheld’s battery life. A 3.5mm jack offers headphone attachment and those with Xbox Series X|S and Xbox One consoles can hook it up via Bluetooth for wireless gaming.

Microsoft is also offering a coordinating “Velocity Green” Razer Universal Quick Charging Stand, where users can dock their controller for a quick and convenient charge.

Priced at $64.99 USD, the Xbox Wireless Controller in “Velocity Green” is currently available online worldwide.
