Apple’s Rumored HomePod With 7-Inch Screen Will Reportedly Roll Out in 2024

The screen will allegedly be produced by Chinese manufacturer Tianma.

Following last month’s release of Apple’s second-generation HomePod, the first edition of which debuted in 2018, the company is reportedly working on a revamped version of the smart speaker.

An alleged third-generation HomePod is said to feature a 7-inch screen panel across the front, appearing somewhat as a dual iPad and speaker all-in-one. According to Apple analyst Ming-Chu Kuo, the rumored HomePod will launch sometime in the first half of 2024.

Kuo also predicted that Chinese manufacturer Tianma will serve as the exclusive panel supplier, which would mark the first partnership between the two companies. Tianma currently produces panels for Android phones.

The analyst said that, thanks to the screen, the new HomePod would “enable tighter integration with Apple’s other hardware products” and designate a marked “shift in the company’s smart home strategy.”

Apple has yet to officially respond to the news of the alleged 7-inch screen HomePod.
