Aaron Paul has joined the cast of Flying Lotus‘ forthcoming film Ash, starring opposite Eiza González.

The Breaking Bad and Baby Driver stars are set to replace Tessa Thompson and Joseph Gordon-Levitt, who were announced in August 2022. González will now portray Thompson’s character, a space station worker who awakens on a far away planet, alone after her crew was murdered. She must then make the decision of whether she should trust the man, now portrayed by Paul, who was sent to rescue her. As they try to figure out who killed her crew, secrets are uncovered and Paul’s character suspects González’s of being involved.

“We are building something fresh and unique with Ash and having Eiza and Aaron in this world just makes it flames. They are absolute magic makers, brave and equally inspiring. All that to say… We ‘bout to kill this shit,” Flying Lotus said in a statement.

Stay tuned for a trailer and release date.
