JUUN.J and PUMA Connect on the New Plexus
Outfitting the futuristic sneaker in an all-black look.
Nowadays, PUMA’s classics such as the Suede and Clyde sneakers are the best known silhouettes that the German sportswear brand produces. However, the label has proven that its eyes are on the future as well. Aside from continuing to present its explosive looks from its Hoops division with LaMelo Ball, PUMA has introduced a new silhouette — the Plexus.
Arriving as an intersection of sport and style — leaning on design cues from both past and present — the Plexus was revealed earlier this year as PUMA’s next step forward. Boldly surging ahead, it dips its toes into the world of collaboration with an all-black look curated by Korean designer JUUN.J. Details such as the rope laces that weave through the upper to recreate PUMA’s Formstrip logo appear once again while subtle hits of co-branding are included at the tongue, heel and hardware. The pair comes with its own carabiner that has been attached at the lateral of each shoe as well. Its mixed material build is rounded out by a shell toe finish, completing the contemporary colorway.
Priced at €150 EUR (approx. $163 USD), the JUUN.J x PUMA Plexus is scheduled to launch via select retailers such as BSTN on April 7 at 6pm EST.
