UPDATE: Jordan Brand is further expanding upon its range of collaborations with music artists this year, and one iteration that’s being brought to life is Teyana Taylor‘s Air Jordan 1 High Zoom CMFT 2. Official images of the pair have been uploaded by Nike, and they reveal all of the kicks’ intricate details. A rose-shaped attachment is included with the kicks, and the interiors of the flaps split between “A Rose” and “From Harlem” to reference her song from her album K.T.S.E. Release is now scheduled to take place on June 1 at a price of $150 USD via Nike.

ORIGINAL ARTICLE:

Since hitting the scene in the 2000s, Teyana Taylor has made a name for herself as not only an actress, singer, dancer, model, etc. but as a formidable sneakerhead and fashion icon as well. Previously, projects with adidas and Reebok offered her the chance to bring her vision to life on a sneaker. However, she’s now taking things to the next level by teaming up with Jordan Brand to take on the timeless Air Jordan 1 High.

In our first look at the collaborative sneaker, it has been made clear that this pair will be a head-turner. First, it’s color scheme sees a classic white leather base joined by “Gym Red” leather overlays that pivot to a dark brown at the heel counter. Serving as the focal point of this collaboration, the left shoe prominently displays oversized leather Swooshes in black with exaggerated zig-zag stitching across it while the right shoe favors embroidered Swooshes in red with green embroidery in the shape of a rose’s prickles. Additional collaborative detailing includes a rose-themed Swoosh on the right shoe’s tongue and “TEY” text on the left shoe’s tongue while “A ROSE from Harlem” text spans across the hidden side of the collar. Lastly, this version of the silhouette utilizes Formula 23 foam, providing a lighter, more comfortable sole.

While a release date has yet to surface for Teyana Taylor’s take on the Air Jordan 1 High, we expect it to hit shelves by the end of the year via Nike and select retailers at a price of $150 USD. Head over to GOAT to cop aftermarket pairs if you missed out on release day.
