Sean Wotherspoon's adidas Originals Gazelle Indoor Is Finally Releasing
The corduroy creps are set to arrive just in time for summer.
After almost a year since they were first teased, the Sean Wotherspoon x adidas Originals Gazelle Indoor is finally releasing.
Centered around a corduroy construction, the sneaker continues Wotherspoon’s love for bold color palettes by applying layers of organic, flowing, overlapping shapes across the “Ecru Tint” base. It’s similar to Superturf Adventure, EQT Support 93, and the SUPEREARTH Superstar, as the Gazelle Indoor puts fun first on a sneaker that — without the color — would be rather simplistic.
But that is not the Wotherspoon way. Instead, the colors hide floral motifs within the drips and splashes, yet simultaneously do not distract from quintessential details like the “Shadow Navy” Three Stripes, gold foil Gazelle branding, adidas Trefoil tongue tags, or Sean Wortherspoon’s emblematic heel tabs.
On the theme of reducing distractions, the design duo opts for a “Gum” sole unit that does not obscure the print on the shoe, thus letting it almost peak through for a more cohesive look.
Sean Wotherspoon’s adidas Originals Gazelle Indoor retails for £120/$150 USD and drops on May 27 via adidas CONFIRMED. Take a look at the official images above.
