Richardson's SS23 Collection Invites You to Enter a World of Jokers, Demons, and Sprites
A hypnagogic exploration of ’90s rave culture, erotic manga, and warped Americana.
Building on its subversive and irreverent nature, Richardson‘s Spring/Summer 2023 collection serves as an invitation to a world of jokers, demons, and sprites. The uniquely evocative label describes the seasonal range as “a hypnagogic tour through 90s rave culture, erotic manga, and warped Americana.”
Aside from its core SS23 offerings, Richardson has prepared collaborations with ’90s cult classic manga Bondage Fairies, dark grunge artist Darja Bajagić, UK party flyers from New Age: Stonehenge to Jungle courtesy of Mott Archive, and designs from John Holland of seminal witch house group S4lem.
The SS23 collection features reimagined American silhouettes like the elevated Cruiser Jacket, Pleated Chinos, and Linen Suit, along with workwear staples in the form of the Richardson Work Pants and Work Shorts. While a sports focus is explored with the MMA Rashguard and Board Shorts, Dazzle Camo Jersey and Warm-Up Jacket, as well as Richardson Football and Hockey Jerseys. The outlook of Americana is continued with the limited-edition patchwork flag Denim Work Pants and new tri-color Elastic Swimsuits. Other standouts include the Richardson Las Vegas T-Shirt, Thee Dollhouse T-Shirt and Swimsuit, and hyper-branded Richardson Hold-All clear tote.
Check out the lookbook for the range above and catch the SS23 collection when it releases on Richardson’s website and at select retailers in the coming weeks.
