Gramicci Takes Inspiration From California's Dynamic Landscapes for SS23
Introducing fresh prints and novelty fabrics.
Following its collaboration with Brain Dead, Gramicci returns to its hometown roots. Taking inspiration from the warmth and lightness California is known for, Gramicci crafts a versatile series that’s equally relaxed and functional — promoting a lifestyle of laidback curiosity with a large appetite for adventure.
Reflecting the sunshine state’s dynamic landscapes ranging from elevated mountainous trails and coastal shorelines to dense city centers, the SS23 collection incorporates ripple prints mimicking the ocean and tortoise shells, smoky pigments of sunset afterglows, accurate prints of Yosemite’s topography, and other vibrant patterns.
Drawing from the mid-’90s archives, two novelty fabrics are introduced this season including garment-dyed woven seersucker and indigo-dyed dobby which are used across laidback basics such as hoodies, tees, overshirts, and sweaters. The River Bank capsule features a range of two-tone pieces with tonal embroideries made from durable nylon, meanwhile the Micro Ripstop capsule delivers convertible skirts and pants with zip-off details.
The Gramicci Spring/Summer 2023 collection will be available online February 22.
