Michelob ULTRA and Netflix Brought Serena Williams, Anderson .Paak and More to Scottsdale, Arizona, To Celebrate a Golf-Infused Super Bowl Weekend
The star-studded bash readied the premiere of Netflix’s latest docuseries, ‘Full Swing.’
Readying the premiere of its latest docuseries, Full Swing, Netflix joined forces with Michelob ULTRA to host a star-studded Super Bowl party at Topgolf in Scottsdale, Arizona, held just this Saturday. Tailing off the excitement of the WM Phoenix Open and ahead of the NFL Super Bowl LVII Championship Game against the Kansas City Chiefs and Philadelphia Eagles, the event brought together a slew of celebrities and athletes for a celebratory evening on the course, including Serena Williams, Lori Harvey, DeAndre Ayton, Joel Dahmen, Brian Cox and more, along with a surprise performance led by Anderson .Paak (DJ Pee Wee) and DJ Khaled.
The activation spotlighted Michelob ULTRA’s Caddyshack-inspired Super Bowl ad, which featured the beer maker’s second collaboration with Arizona-based golf brand Devereux. Fittingly coined “ULTRA Club Collection,” the capsule collection pays homage to nostalgic caddie fashion while riffing on modern streetwear elements.

In the spirit of Michelob ULTRA’s slogan, “It’s Only Worth It If You Enjoy It,” Topgolf Scottsdale’s hitting bays were transformed into the ULTRA Club experience as a fashion-forward and inclusive rework of the traditional country club environment. Toasting to a new era of golf and generation of athletes, the lively gathering kicked off with a longest drive competition, with VIP appearances from Shaquille O’Neal, Nneka Ogwumike, Offset and Tiffany Haddish. Before the tee-off, the likes of supermodel Alessandra Ambrosio in a bubblegum-pink cutout mini and Lori Harvey dressed in an all-denim fit posed for photos amidst a crowd of countless A-listers, media personalities and influencers.

Guests watched as Serena Williams, sporting a monochromatic red cardigan and mini circle dress, showcased her forehand on the driving range, in addition to professional boxer Canelo Alvarez and others testing their swings. A co-branded stage and wide-screen display transformed the main lot, where Netflix played the premiere of its documentary. Debuting on February 15, Full Swing will chronicle the PGA Tour and triumphant legacies of Jordan Spieth, Matt Fitzpatrick and Justin Thomas, to name a few, while exploring the sport’s exciting transformation in contemporary culture. Shortly after, Paak, donning a ’70s-inspired wig, performed on the bed of a truck that was parked at the putting green, later followed up by DJ Khaled, who performed against a backdrop of fireworks illuminating the green.
The event served up a sneak peek of the “ULTRA Club Collection,” along with a plethora of Michelob ULTRA refreshments, including the new Michelob ULTRA Golf Pack.
