One thing remains true for the Amsterdam imprint Daily Paper: a commitment to sharing the stories and experiences of the African diaspora with the world. The brand is now furthering this mission by joining forces with J. Cole’s multi-platinum record label, Dreamville, for a lively capsule collection.

Titled ‘Dream Daily,’ the collection pays homage to the rich history of the University of Timbuktu / Sankore and the broader multidimensional culture of Africa. But even with this as a core capsule driver, the collaboration aligns with both entities’ love for championing community. Since both Daily Paper and Dreamville got their start during those formative university years, the collection takes form with a collegiate ethos.

Appearing in the capsule are class or street-ready garments like jackets, a hoodie, a sweatsuit, a polo dress and t-shirts dipped in shades of maroon, cream and black. Elevating the pieces is a selection of multicolored patches, decals and brand logos. An online-exclusive varsity jacket serves as the capsule highlight with a bordeaux-colored soft wool body, cream-colored leather sleeves and patchwork detailing.

“The collaboration with Daily Paper and  Dreamville is a real example of powerhouses coming together with music and fashion at the center,” said Dreamville co-founder and president of apparel, Adam Roy. “We tell stories through music and equally they, with fashion. We’re excited about the opportunity to build something special with one of today’s foremost fashion collectives.”

Check out the gallery and video above for a look at the collection. The Daily Paper x Dreamville ‘Dream Daily’ capsule collection is available now at Daily Paper flagship stores and online.
