Metalwood Studio Reveals Its SS23 Collection
Bringing forward a 90s and Y2K influence.
Fresh off its first ever collaboration with golf industry giants FootJoy, Metalwood Studio has unveiled the first delivery from its SS23 collection. Based out of a brick and mortar shop in the trendy La Brea neighborhood of Los Angeles where the brand sells both signature items and curated vintage finds, founder Cole Young continues the label’s DNA of pulling from 90s and early 2000s golf fashion and adding a modern twist.
Conceptually, the SS23 collection is based around the idea of “Energy Transfer,” a reference to the mechanics of the golf swing. These two words find their way in times font onto pieces from the collection like an onion quilted jacket in dark green and a long sleeve tee with a dissolving golfer silhouette. The 90s and Y2K influence is seen once again on highlights such as a roomy set of nylon pullovers and pants with a wavy checker pattern and warped Metalwood logo. Rounding out the highlights is a white button up shirt with an all-over logo print styled in the brand’s signature font.
For those interested in copping, drop number is available now exclusively on Metalwood’s official website.
Elsewhere in golf, consignment shop Justin Reed is selling a set of NOCTA x TaylorMade Golf irons for $7,000 USD.
