As brands continue to emphasize the importance of sustainability, new practices and innovative technology help them inch closer to a lessened effect. With adidas, a key part of their commitment to ending plastic waste is a partnership with Parley for the Oceans — a nonprofit organization that specializes in protecting the oceans.

Forming the partnership in 2015, adidas and Parley have worked together to release footwear with Parley Ocean Plastic — reimagined plastic waste that is collected from coastal communities in an effort to lessen ocean pollution. Now, the duo looks to adidas Running’s popular Supernova series with the introduction of the Supernova 2.0 Parley. Kicking things off, four colorways have been prepared and range from monochromatic “Carbon” and “Chalk White” looks to bright “Silver Violet” and “Coral Fusion” finishes. Backing each presentation of the sneaker, BOOST and Bounce cushioning connect on the midsole while sleek linework is featured across its sustainably-minded upper.

Release for all four of the adidas Supernova 2.0 Parley colorways is scheduled for February 15 at 3am EST via adidas. Pairs are priced at $120 USD each.

Looking for more adidas news? Another collaboration with atmos has been revealed — a “Mash Up” version of the ZX8000 that commemorates the duo’s previous works together.
