Hot off the heels of teaming up with rapper Freddie Gibbs for a collaborative capsule, AKILA LA is broadening its catalog by reuniting with fellow Los Angeles imprint PLEASURES to introduce another joint effort. Just in time for Spring, the duo is back with a fresh batch of Reflex sunnies that are prepared in two colorways.

The Reflex is a salute to grunge-y fashion sensibilities from the ’90s, more specifically to style icons like Layne Staley and Dennis Rodman. Designed with a bug-eyed look and feel, the full-wrap around frames are constructed with a bio-acetate material. The first colorway comes equipped with black frames and lenses that are filled with an orange to purple gradient much like a SoCal sunset. “PLEASURES” hits are printed across the sides of the temples while a co-branded hit lands on the interiors of the right temple. Its launch sibling is formed with see-through frames and features smokey tints for a slightly more understated aesthetic.

For those that fancy this new assemblage of sunnies, you can find them available now via the AKILA website for $130 USD a piece.
