The throwback colorway is being served up as a springtime release.

Update: Surrounding the excitement of Air Max Day in 2023, the Swoosh revealed a new silhouette inspired by its Air Max 1 — introducing a slide version of the design. After various colorways hit the market for the summertime, the brand is gearing up for a “Royal” rendition to land on shelves for 2024. Now officially unveiled, the colorway is expected to launch in the coming months via Nike SNKRS and select retailers at a price of $75 USD.
Original Story: Nike continues to adopt slides as a part of its wardrobe essentials. This year, Nike has transformed the Air Max 1 into a slide. By modifying the upper and connecting it to a foam midsole to retain the shoe’s aesthetic, the popular slides are set to return next year in the classic “Royal” iteration.
The Nike Air Max 1 Slides follows a white, royal blue, black and neutral grey color palette. The shoe features a white mesh strap combined with a grey suede overlay and royal blue mudguards, matching that of the sneaker silhouette. The shoe’s footbed is in royal blue, contrasting a white midsole with Air Max heel units and the Air Max tongue labels. The Swoosh symbol is half-embroidered and adorned on both sides of the slide while the rest of the shoe sits atop a rubber outsole.
Look out for the Sprint 2024 release of the Nike Air Max 1 Slide “Royal” retailing at $75 USD at select retailers and online at Nike.
