Emphasizing on tonal layering.

Returning for Fall/Winter 2024, Seoul-based label BLACKMERLE has delivered a new wintry lineup in its usual dark and dystopian palette.

The new collection is considered a continuation and further exploration of its SS23 collection, which focused on a more toned-down approach to textured and layered wear. Designed by Terry Shin, the pieces serve to describe an interplay between the subtle tonality and textures of its materials that creates this distressed appeal that catches the eye unintentionally, all the while quietly blended into its surroundings. This juxtaposing philosophy is imperative for BLACKMERLE, which is exemplified in the label’s fundamentals and design DNA.

From the collection, footwear is among one of its most noteworthy highlights. As the brand’s first-ever footwear offering, the shoes arrive in BLACKMERLE’s signature rat gray and black colors. Crafted from self-leather derived distressed cowhide, the material covers the entire mid and outsoles for a tonal look.

Take a closer look at the lookbook in the gallery above. The collection will be on view during Paris Fashion Week, both for the public and by appointment. For more details, visit BLACKMERLE’s official website.
