Prada's "Memories of Beauty" Campaign Preps for the Year of the Rabbit
The Lunar New Year imagery stars Cai Xukun, Chunxia, Bai Yufan and Du Juan.
Per the Lunar calendar, 2023 is the year of the rabbit — and it’s predicted to be a year full of hope and luck. Honoring the forthcoming changing of calendars,
The campaign fronts singer Cai Xukun, who previously starred in Prada’s Lunar New Year 2021 campaign, Port of Call actress Chunxia, who won Best Actress at the Hong Kong Film Awards, Shan Hai Qing actor Bai Yufan and model Du Juan. Lensed by up-and-coming photographer Nick Yang, the sartorial imagery spotlights Prada’s expert tailoring along with storied objects, including a record player, a vintage phone and a film camera.
In tandem with the campaign’s launch, Prada has dropped off an exclusive range of men’s and women’s ready-to-wear, bags, footwear and accessories. Among the lineup, there are luxe velvet garments, austere twill jackets, brushed leather lace-ups, square bags with signature triangle motifs and nappa leather sneakers with voluminous soles. Additionally, the new Prada Moon Bag makes modern changes to its iconic 2000s predecessor of the same moniker.
Prada’s Lunar New Year collection is now available to shop on the brand’s website and in select stores. Explore the range in the campaign above.
