Another Nike Dunk Low "Year of the Rabbit" Is On the Way
Commemorating Chinese New Year to take place on January 22.
As China’s yearly New Year celebration approaches, Nike is gearing up to introduce a variety of festive sneakers to keep spirits high this January. Following the reveal of an initial colorway, the Nike Dunk Low “Year of the Rabbit” has surfaced in another lively iteration.
Contrary to the previous pair revealed in a vibrant palette, this colorway is previewed with rich brown and orange touches. In addition, the Year of the Rabbit displays the fourth Chinese zodiac character in the twelve-year rotation and is representative of the rabbit’s soft and tender characteristics.
Orange suede acts as the base layer for this festive pair, while brown leather overlays hit the mudguards, lacing systems, and ankle flaps with a smooth finish. Fuzzy medial Swooshes portray the rabbit’s exterior coating, extending out from leather heel tabs that boast teal-colored Nike branding.
Lace dubraes receive a tonal orange hue debossed with “2023” markings to commemorate the new year. Elsewhere, textured tongue tags are supplied with Chinese lettering that translates to “rabbit” in English, while gilded bunny illustrations are seen on the lateral heels and insoles.
Finally, the sneaker is complete with sail-tinted midsoles and semi-translucent orange bottoms.
