Nike Covers the KD 15 In a Regal "Olympics" Colorway
Celebrating the all-time point leader for the US.
Historically, the US has been the team to beat in international men’s basketball tournaments. While the country has had its fair share of lowlights as well, it has won gold at seven of the last Summer Olympic Games. Since playing with the team for the first time in 2012, Kevin Durant has been a key part of the squad. Becoming the all-time points leader for the country in 2021’s rescheduled 2020 event, he’s scored 435 points and averaged just under 20 points per game — another statistic he leads in — while netting 71 assists, the fourth most all-time for the team.
Celebrating his dominance at the Olympic Games, Nike has readied an “Olympics” colorway on the KD 15. A fitting gold outfits a majority of the upper while American hits of navy and red are mixed in throughout. The backside of the blue tongue lists Durant’s all-time points, points per game, assists and the three Olympic golds he has secured thus far.
With the next Summer Olympic Games not taking place until 2024, a release date for the Nike KD 15 “Olympics” may not surface for some time. Stay tuned as we expect it to be available via Nike and select Nike Basketball retailers at a price of $150 USD later this year.
