The Air Jordan 3 "Fear" May Be Returning This Holiday Season
Originally released in 2013, it’s one-third of the “Fear” pack, which also included an Air Jordan 4 and an Air Jordan 5.

2023’s just getting going, but if sneaker leakers’ early-year predictions hold true this holiday season will be a mammoth one for Jordan Brand. The Air Jordan 11 “DMP” will reportedly be coming back (sans pack) for the first time, the Air Jordan 1 “Satin Bred” will be revived as a women’s exclusive and, now, the Air Jordan 3 “Fear” is reportedly set to join the party as well.
Originally released in 2013, the Air Jordan 3 “Fear” was one-third of the “Fear” pack alongside similarly-titled takes on the Air Jordan 4 and the Air Jordan 5. Inspired by the Jumpman’s “Be Legendary” marketing campaign from 2008 — which was originally created to promote the Air Jordan 23 — the “Fear” pack spotlighted one of the commercial series’ key messages, conquering fear, through its insole graphics, which stated “I’m scared of what I won’t become” and “And you’re scared of what I could become.” That’s the only overt nod to the commercials on any “Fear” sneaker as they featured subtle color schemes: the Air Jordan 3, for its part, offered an ultra-dark slate suede upper with black and grey elephant print, a gradient fade midsole detail and pops of bright blaze orange for a little flair.
At the time of writing, there’s no official release date — or even word on an actual drop — to be had, as rumors of the Air Jordan 3 “Fear” return just surfaced. However, be sure to keep it locked here for updates as soon as they’re available. If you’re afraid of waiting, pairs of the 2013 original are available at retailers like GOAT.
