In previous seasons, the design duo behind Jil Sander, Luke and Lucie Meier, have continued to reimagine the ordinary wardrobe through an elevated viewpoint by constantly finding balance in dynamic outlines that express their perspective on daily life.

For Spring/Summer 2023, Jil Sander played with vibrant tailoring nurtured through the body’s natural movements. As a result, the collection focused on monochrome suiting and slouchy silhouettes, while the brand’s Pre-Fall 2023 menswear channels gender-fluid ideals into modernized versions of traditional attire.

Jil Sander continues its voyage into reimagined suiting by crafting loose-fitting variations and buttonless shirting with distorted collars that flow against the neck. Additionally, utilitarian uniforms are perceived with military inspirations, arriving in delicate pastel tones and gilded chest badges.

Elsewhere, refined raincoats receive glossy exterior coatings and standing leather neckbands in contrasting hues, while bandana-style detailing is set against vibrant casualwear. Jil Sander continues to embrace the body’s fluid gestures for SS23, featuring wrap-around shirting, pleated trousers, and cropped wool pullovers layered atop elevated blouses with abstract artwork and a faint finish.

Take a closer look at Jil Sander’s Pre-Fall 2023 collection in the gallery above.
