Our Legacy Launches New Store in Seoul
Inspired by the feeling a garden creates.
Contemporary Swedish clothing label Our Legacy has launched a new store in Seoul. Marking it first location in the South Korean city, the store features a clean design cadence.
Located in the Hyundai main department store in Apgujeong, the new location was designed with architectural firm Arrhov/Frick, which is a longtime collaborator of the brand. Promoting tranquility, the store’s minimal design is inspired by the feeling a garden creates. Bringing this feeling to life are light wood accents seen in chairs and shelving alongside smooth steel walls and wave-like paneling.
“Like a garden with a greenhouse where plants and flowers can grow. Like traditional screens creating layers of spaces. An oasis of intimacy and comfort in a chaotic world,” said architect Johan Arrhov. “An Our Legacy world within to discover. Simple yet luxurious. A place that makes people curious. A place where you want to be.”
The brand’s first store in Seoul represents a long line of growth plans for the Korean market. Our Legacy is set to open more locations including a flagship store over the next few years, which will include the brand’s mainline, WORK SHOP collection and future collaborations.
