Nike Basketball Introduces the Air Zoom GT Cut 2
The sequel to the incredibly popular performance sneaker.

Nike Basketball introduced the “Greater Than” series in 2021 as a performance focused collection centered around core movements of running, cutting and jumping. Between the three silhouettes it introduced, the Air Zoom GT Cut certainly ended up a fan favorite. Building off of this success, Nike has now created an updated version of the sneaker with the Air Zoom GT Cut 2.
Several colorways of the Air Zoom GT Cut 2 have already popped up and Nike now has shared the sneaker’s key specifications and updates. Designed for “players who create and close space in an instant to keep defenders off balance,” the silhouette leverages a new advanced traction design to ensure sharp, quick cuts on the court. The outsole’s structure features a wiper-blade pattern with deep tread grooves and a secondary zone of nubbed traction at the forefoot. Supporting updates include a carved out midsole to reduce weight, heel Zoom Air unit and refined heel shape.
Release for the Nike Air Zoom GT Cut 2 “Bred” begins September 16 for Nike Members and continues September 20 for North America. Following this, the “Sabrina Ionescu” colorway will hit shelves October 13 via Nike and select retailers.
