Known for its representation of West African culture through a modern lens, London-based label LABRUM often exhibits a tasteful display of societal unification. Its most recent FW22 collection showcased the artistic power of movement, also recently joining forces with Idris Elba to reimagine Sierra Leone’s Commonwealth Games kit.

Now, LABRUM founder and creative director Foday Dumbaya prepares to open the doors to the brand’s first immersive retail space in the heart of London. The temporary location is based in Piccadilly Circus’ Princes Arcade, which features an array of local shops and boutiques.

The retail space has been designed in collaboration with British-Nigerian artist Yinka Ilori and is a reflection of the brand’s vibrant design language. Yellow walls have been stamped with a floral pattern taken from its “Poetics Of Movement” collection, inspired by traditional North Nigerian textile pigmentation practices.

Decorative furniture fashioned with alluring patterns designed by Dumbaya is on display and available to purchase in-store, alongside the FW22 collection, Choose Love SS23 T-shirts and the “Designed by an Immigrant” collection.
