In light of the upcoming NBA season which is set to begin on October 19, Nike is paying homage to the sport with the release of a basketball-textured Air More Uptempo. With the new season fast approaching, the all-new “Sail Basketball” colorway has surfaced just in time.

The new iteration sees the classic Nike Air More Uptempo come dressed in a sail-toned color scheme that outfits the leather upper base that is paired with matching mesh tongues, laces, lining and soles. The sneaker features the signature “AIR” lettering branding that appears to be dressed in basketball-textured leather. The lettering is seen wrapped around the sides and heels of the sneakers. Rounding out the design are black Swooshes on the heel and additional accents on the insole as well as the outline of the lettering.

The new colorway is expected to hit select retailers and Nike in the coming weeks for $175 USD. The tentative release date is October 1, 2022, just a couple of weeks before the start of the new NBA season. Take a look above.

In other footwear news, the Nike LeBron 20 surfaced in “Violet Frost.”
