Lorenz and Frankie Thorp Celebrate Italian Summertime with Hand-Painted Capsule Collection
Featuring seven upcycled 1-of-1 shirts, a single graphic T-shirt, an emboridered cap and a tote bag.
London-based contemporary menswear label Lorenz is known for its laid-back silhouettes, vibrant graphics and unique textile offerings. For its Spring/Summer 2022 collection — that was revealed earlier this year — the brand headed coast-side to deliver an ideal summer wardrobe packed with breathable bowling shirts and graphic tees.
Now, Lorenz taps on British artist Frankie Thorp for a hand-drawn capsule collection that depicts the bliss of Italian summertime. Thorp communicates her humorous still life-style art language through seven upcycled 1-of-1 shirts, a single graphic T-shirt, an embroidered cap and a tote bag.
These take inspiration from restful solstitial afternoons on the Amalfi Coast powered by refreshing glasses of Campari. All pieces receive a white base and feature fruit and floral motifs, accompanied by Lorenz branding and illustrations of naked women, bottles of alcohol, cocktails, vintage cars and old-fashion vases, each celebrating the beauty of the Italian town. Dissimilarly, the cap promotes a black construction and is embroidered with a pastel tequila shot, an orange slice and co-branded hits.
The limited Lorenz x Frankie Thorp capsule collection will be available on September 1 exclusively via Lorenz.
