"Nightwatch Green" and Golden Accents Adorn the New Balance 550
Taking clear inspiration from ALD’s previous versions.
New Balance is going hard with the 550 silhouette, having recently revealed a trio of colorway options to come later this year. The Boston-based imprint now readies the model in an array of “Nightwatch Green” and golden hues to keep you locked and loaded for the fall season.
The basketball-inspired low-cut sneaker is hit with a combined white leather and mesh upper. Perforations decorate the medial leather panels outlined with dark green decor, while the toe boxes receive a toned-down arrangement with an asymmetrical cut. Yellowed mesh gives the heel counters vintage flair, while the ankles see green leather trimmings and the tails don muted grey heel guards.
As for branding, gilded detailing sets its mark around the brim of the medial N logos, 550 labeling at the forefoot, and rear “NB” emblems. Finally, tongues are adorned with basketball graphics and further New Balance decorations. The design sits atop white sole units complete with two-toned rubber outsoles.
The New Balance 550 “White/Nightwatch Green” has already arrived at select retailers overseas, but is set to launch globally later this year via New Balance for $100 USD.
