Hautlence has reworked the brand’s aesthetic, starting with the new Linear Series 1, which offers a novel take on the jumping hour display.
The watch displays the minutes via traditional hand in the centre of its transparent sapphire crystal ‘television screen’ dial, which reveals a snail cam beneath responsible for activating the jumping hour once every 60 minutes.
Instead of a traditional jumping Arabic numeral, Hautlence has vertically arranged a series of 12 square apertures on the left of the dial which are highlighted sequentially, before returning the start.
The watch – which also features a 60-second flying tourbillon doubling as a small seconds – is the first to exhibit a new sportier aesthetic at Hautlence – H. Moser & Cie’s sister brand – with reworked cases, 100m water resistance and rubber straps.
Inside is a 3Hz D50 automatic movement with a power reserve of 72 hours and a jumping hour module courtesy of Genevan complication specialist, Agenhor.
The Linear Series 1 is available now via Hautlence, priced 56,200 GBP (approximately $65,000 USD).
