Byredo Opens Its First Hong Kong Flagship Store

Turning its focus on furthering its retail presence within Asia, Byredo recently opened its first store in Hong Kong. Located on Fashion Walk in Causeway Bay, one of the city’s standout retail and lifestyle experience, the new location encapsulates the Byredo brand universe in its entirety.

Reflecting the dynamism of Hong Kong, the new flagship’s exterior expresses a dark gray brick facade, influenced by late Swedish architect Sigurd Lewerentz. The depth and striking minimal elegance of the exterior are contrasted by the bold pops brought by furniture like the lacquered mechanical table, galvanized metal cabinets, cowskin daybed, douglas fir bag shelf, and counter, all designed by Halleroed and Byredo. The contemporary architecture framework is introduced through the aluzinc wall in the back, Italian terrazzo flooring, matte white walls, and accenting ceiling lighting.

Byredo Fashion Walk features the full range of perfumes, home fragrances, makeup, body care, eyewear, and also introduces “Byproduct” to Hong Kong. The expansive arm of the label is defined by very limited quantities centered around craftsmanship outside of the beauty industry. Previous Byproduct explorations include fine jewelry and camping equipment.

Additionally, the Hong Kong flagship store will offer customization services for bespoke products, as well as a delivery service.
