Byredo captures the sun-drenched cadence of a Mediterranean afternoon with”Late Lunch,” a new Eau de Parfum created exclusively for Jondal, Ibiza. Continuing the brand’s signature exploration of scent as emotional geography, the fragrance translates fleeting coastal sensations into an olfactive form that acts as a distilled memory of the island’s quiet intensity.
The inspiration stems from Jondal itself — a relaxed destination nestled along Ibiza’s southern coastline where long, spontaneous lunches drift effortlessly toward dusk. Conceived through a natural friendship between the house and Jondal’s owner, Rem, the fragrance is designed to mirror an easy philosophy, capturing a libertarian mood that has the structural weight to carry the wearer seamlessly from a bright day into the cool evening air.
Crafted by Master Perfumer Nicolas Bonneville, the scent unfolds like a leisurely, windswept day by the sea. It opens with a radiant, weightless burst of orange blossom, lemon and mandarin, mimicking the immediate, crisp sensation of a cold drink beneath a scorching sun. As the afternoon matures, the heart notes introduce a green, mineral breeze composed of lentisk, rosemary salt, pink pepper and galbanum, evoking the raw aroma of wild herbs carried across coastal rocks. As daylight fades, the fragrance settles into a textured and lingering base of ambrox, helvetolide, and cedarwood, leaving behind a comforting warmth that clings to the skin long after the sun has set.
