Bose Debuts Its QuietComfort Earbuds II
Introducing a new streamlined design and personalization features.
Massachusetts-based audio company Bose has updated its flagship QuietComfort Earbuds for the first time, streamlining the design and offering updated tech features. The upcoming QC Earbuds II boasts an all-new profile with the buds measuring a third smaller than the gen-1 iteration and arriving in a sized-down charging case.
For personalization, a new Fit Kit features a two-piece system in which different stability bands and ear tips can be mixed and matched. A new CustomTune calibration feature also makes its debut through the in-ears whereby every time the buds are put on, a microphone measures the acoustic response within each unique ear canal to automatically tailor audio and ANC performance — all within half a second. Additional features include Bluetooth 5.3 capability, IPX4 rating for sweat and water resistance, up to six hours of battery life with three full charges provided by the charging case, a built-in voice assistant, and intuitive touch controls.
“Since we brought noise cancellation to market, we’ve remained passionate about pushing boundaries in engineering, technology, and design — and the QuietComfort Earbuds II are the latest result of that commitment,” said Raza Haider, Chief Product Officer for Bose.
The Bose QuietComfort Earbuds II will release September 15 for $299 USD. Pre-orders are now open for the black colorway and the “Soapstone” version is set to release later this year.
