Reigning Champ Revisits "Legacy of Slub" in Latest Capsule
A premium fabric developed for its sibling label, wings+horns.
Following its collaboration with Prince for tennis staples, CYC’s Reigning Champ now delivers its “Legacy of Slub” project, revisiting the premium 1 x 1 Slub fabric originated in the mid-2000s for its now-discontinued sibling label, wings+horns. After making a name for itself over the last two decades as a go-to source of contemporary menswear staples — combining Japanese craftsmanship with high-quality fabrics and designs inspired by its native Canadian landscape —wings+horns recently pressed pause on its operations after 17 years.
Continuing its legacy, Reigning Champ dresses three of its signature silhouettes in wing+horn’s go-to 1 x 1 Slub fabrics. Found in white, grey, black, and navy options, pieces include short and long-sleeve tees as well as half-button Henley shirts featuring self-fabric collars and semi-raglan sleeves.
The Reigning Champ “Legacy of Slub” collection is now available at the brand’s website and physical stores. Prices range between $75 and $105 USD.
