Over the past year, Nike has continued to look back into the archives for inspiration and one example of this is the revisit of the Air Kukini. The Swoosh recently revitalized the Y2K roots of the Kukini “Water,” and now the footwear giant has introduced the latest iteration of the shoe in “Black Neon.”
The low-top and slip-on sneaker presents a sleek black neoprene/nubuck upper, reinforced with translucent TPU caging in “Neon.” While the entire base of the sneaker is coated in a black hue, the design also features a “Neon Green” speckled midsole with more of the same green visible in the bouncy air heel unit. Rounding off the design, a durable black rubber outsole wraps around the profile.
