The street style brought forward by the Spring/Summer 2023 season of Copenhagen Fashion Week reminds fashion enthusiasts everywhere that Nordic summer style should not be slept on.
This season, showgoers showed off their eclectic outfits, playing with non-traditional silhouettes that combined comfort with oversized silhouettes. Box-cut jackets were accentuated at the shoulders, bringing more volume to everyday looks. Monochrome fits were in abundance, bringing a vibrant pop of color to the streets of Copenhagen. Puffer vets were a popular styling choice that saw an attendee paired a pink tie dye ensemble with fuschia pink vest while another paired her coffee-brown vest with a long-sleeve butto down and camel-brown trousers.
The Scandanavian style, often riddled with an understated and minimalistic aesthetic and muted tones, were contrasted with textured patterns, pleats and exaggerated silhouettes. Often, outfits were highlighted with one pop of color, while accessories including, futuristic and reflecttive ’90s sunglasses and larger-than-life chapeauxs gave each person’s attire a major focal point.
