Social Status Announces Pay-It-Forward Initiative For Air Max Penny 1 "Recess"
Focused on supporting families’ back to school prep.
Throughout 2022, The Whitaker Group has locked in on supporting communities. From its collaborative COLOR CODE program that promotes Black and minority designers to now announcing a Pay-It-Forward campaign tied to Social Status’ Air Max Penny 1 “Recess” capsule, James Whitner’s team continues to give back. Just last week, Nike and Social Status launched the duo’s collaborative Air Max Penny 1 colorways, filed under the “Recess” name. Now, a second launch is scheduled to encourage the support of families in their back to school preparations.
For those who may have missed out, the two Air Max Penny 1 “Recess” colorways are returning in limited quantities as part of a one-of-a-kind community giveback launch. Customers will be offered the option to purchase a pair for themselves as well as enter the details of a person in need and/or organization that they want to donate a pair to. For those without a specific person or place in mind, an option to have the Whitaker Project, The Whitaker Group’s non-profit division, select an organization of its choice will be available.
Release for the Pay-It-Forward launch of the Social Status x Air Max Penny 1 “Recess” collection is set for July 22 at 9am EDT via Social Status at a price of $190 USD.
