Japanese auto shop, Pit One Customs, has completely covered a Porsche 911 in Musou Black, the world’s blackest water-based acrylic paint said to absorb 99.4% of visible light. Koyo Orient’s Musou Black is said to be darker than the Vantablack paint infamously used on BMW’s X6 Coupé back in 2019, making it quite possibly the darkest car in the world.

Pit One worked with Koyo Orient to help paint the car to ensure the best outcome possible. While the unrivaled black hues don’t make the car incognito by any means, the car does seem disorienting to look at, as the contours are nullified. For the closer look video below, Pit One made sure to check with local authorities before taking the 911 out for a spin.

Unlike Vantablack which does not distribute to private individuals, a 100ml bottle of Musou Black can be purchased online for approximately $20 USD and is most commonly used on plastic figures. People have also tested the product on an entire room and other objects for content.
