Official Look at Travis Scott's Cactus Jack Dior B713 Sneaker
Sign-ups are now open.
Travis Scott‘s Cactus Jack collaboration with Dior has been turbulent, as tragic events that occurred at the rapper’s Astrowrold Festival in November last year resulted in Dior postponing the collection indefinitely. However, things changed last week when Dior announced the Cactus Jack collaboration will indeed release, and now the Kim Jones-helmed house has given the world a closer look at some of the upcoming pieces in the collection — notably, the B713 sneaker.
The pair have previously been shown off by Dior Mens’ footwear designer Thibo Denis, uploading a video that shows the B713 in various official colorways. Dior has put the spotlight on just two so far, one in tan/cream/lime green and another in brown/cream/blue.
Travis Scott and Kim Jones are both known as people who draw inspiration from the past, infiltrating their work with nostalgia. The same goes for the B713, which as HYPEBEAST has previously declared, gears towards something between Lavnin meets eS meets DC Skate sneakers. The shape is bulbus, with a rounded toe layered in premium suede creating a mudguard that works its way all around the shoe.
Perforated mesh has been used for the underlayer of the mid-panel, before leather then sits on top, it too following a curvaceous wave. Here, a “CD” eyelet can be found towards the top of the placket, while another “CD” emblem graces the tongue. A custom Cactus Jack Dior logo tag sits on the lateral rear-quarter and once more on the heel where it is debossed, positioned neatly above the final “CD” emblem that’s embedded into the skate-esque shoes’ sole unit.
Cactus Jack Dior’s B713 sneaker can be seen in the official imagery above and in Thibo Denis’ video below. The raffle sign-up is open on Dior’s website, hinting at a soon-coming release. If you’re still looking to cop, check out GOAT to see available pairs.
