It’s fashion week in Paris, and as usual, there’s a tremendous amount of buzz surrounding all of the high fashion footwear that has been unveiled thus far. Virgil Abloh broke the internet when he teased his forthcoming Louis Vuitton x Nike Air Force 1 collection, and now Travis Scott has inserted himself into the conversation as he’s revealed his newest collection with Dior. And now we have a first look at what La Flame and Kim Jones have cooked up on the sneakers front thanks to Dior‘s mens footwear designer Thibo.

Based off of initial imagery, it appears that Scott and the French label are serving up a low-cut and semi-chunky silhouette that is carries plenty of design language from old skate shoes. Think Lavnin meets eS meets DC Skate and that’s essentially what you get here in terms of its overall shape. Several colorways have been revealed, many of which are formed with a blend of materials including premium leather that is found on the collars, canvas which slides into the mid-foot and smooth suede that lands on the toe boxes and mudguards. Branding is very minimal but can be found by via the diamond shaped “CD” eyelets tongue embellishments which of course stand for Christian Dior, in addition the Dior-adorned tabs that are stationed on the lateral heels. A few of the colorways that have been teased carry earthy tones which are omnipresent throughout many of Scott’s collaborations with Nike and Jordan Brand, while others opt for playful neon and cool tones, as well as hefty snakeskin textures.

Be on the lookout for these collaborative kicks to drop during Summer 2022.
