Richardson Connects With Canal Rubber for Industrial-Inspired Capsule
The collective features graphic tees, a dog leash, clips and a rubber pillow cushion.
Streetwear mainstay Richardson connects with iconic NYC store Canal Rubber Supply Co., Inc. for a small run of collaborative pieces. Canal Rubber has been around for three generations since 1954 purveying rubber and foam products to New York City residents. Not only is the shop frequented by those in need of home and industrial repairs for ventilation and insulation but also by artists who sometimes need custom cut rubber and foam parts for costumes and art projects.
Richardson honors the longevity of Canal Rubber with a collection featuring tees, a dog leash, clips and a pillow. The T-shirts, which come in long and short-sleeve options, are emblazoned with imagery from Richardson Magazine A3 and Canal Rubber’s motto “If it’s in rubber, we have it.” The dog leash comes with a custom Kong Frog clip connector and is designed in bright yellow featuring the streetwear brand and the shop’s logos. Lastly, there’s a pillow cushion in the set that’s made of black rubber and embossed with both the companies’ insignias.
The Richardson x Canal Rubber pieces are available online at Richardsonshop and in-store in NY/LA starting on May 12. In-store release for Tokyo will be available Saturday May 14.
