Brighter Neutral Tones Dress Up This Upcoming Nike Air Kukini Colorway
Creamy uppers are balanced out with muted gray accents.
Every year Nike will take the opportunity to pull a silhouette out of its archives and re-introduce it to the modern-day generation by releasing a cornucopia of colorways. This year, the Air Kukini is getting its moment to shine, and its latest cream and gray iteration has just surfaced onto our radar by way of official imagery.
The archival sneaker from 1999 leans on a two-toned arrangement of neutral hues here. Canvas upper layers have been treated with a creamy coating, and come paired up with smooth leather overlays across the front ends, tongues, and heels which are dyed in a muted gray. The most enticing feature — and arguably the most obscure — feature on the model is its signature spider web-esque TPU cage that sprawls across the entire base, and it ushers in slightly more contrasting as it is formed with a milky tint. Underneath all of that, the Air-cushioned sole unit is executed with off-white midsoles as well as a gray outline that surrounds its exposed heel bubble.
Nike hasn’t confirmed when these will drop just yet, but enjoy a detailed look at the pair in the gallery above in the meantime. Note that the retail price will be $135 USD.
In other news, Travis Scott’s next batch of Nike collaborations have been given a release date.
