With both Intel and AMD having shown off some of their latest laptop CPUs in recent weeks, Lenovo has now introduced its newest top-tier Legion 7 and 7i gaming laptops carrying that hardware. Both coming in at 16 inches, the two new offerings from Lenovo can be configured in either an Intel or AMD setup.

The former can carry up to a 12th Gen Core i9-12900HX CPU paired with an NVIDIA RTX 3080 Ti graphics card while the latter can utilize a Ryzen 9 6900HX processor in tandem with a Radeon RX 6850M XT GPU. Both iterations also share some welcome upgrades in other areas, such as a new 1080p webcam, a larger 99.99Wh battery, and displays with a QHD 16:10 aspect ratio complete with Dolby Vision HDR that can be upgraded to a 240Hz QHD version with variable refresh rate support. Depending on which make you opt for, you’ll also get support for either NVIDIA G-Sync or AMD FreeSync Premium. RAM comes in the form of 32GB DDR5 at 4,800MHz, but it’s overclockable to 5,600MHz for the 7i.

As for those looking for something more compact, Lenovo has also created Slim versions of both laptops. The two will also carry the same processors as its full-sized counterpart, but graphics will only reach either an RTX 3070 or Radeon RX 6800S card. Prices for the standard editions start at $2,450 USD for the Legion 7i and $2,060 USD for the Legion 7, while the Slim 7i will go for $1,590 USD and the Slim 7 for $1,520 USD. Both 7i models will arrive in May, and both 7 models will follow shortly in June.

Elsewhere in tech, DJI has managed to pack 4K 60fps video recording capabilities into its 249-gram Mini 3 Pro compact drone.
