Carne Bollente Collaborates With BIGOTRE To Launch New Sex Positive Bags
With hopes to spark conversation amongst the Japanese community.
Paris-based sex-positive brand Carne Bollente has partnered with Tokyo-based bag brand BIGOTRE on a sex-positive capsule collection aimed at opening up the conversation in Japanese communities.
Co-founder Hijiri Endo of Carne Bollente wanted to shine a light on the topic of sex, which is often seen as taboo in Japanese culture. Endo hopes to push forward into the contemporary world with the help of Carne Bollente to create a move toward spreading a positive message about sex. BIGOTRE, established in 2017, focuses on vintage bags constructed in minimalist shapes. By combining Carne Bollente’s signature sex-positive aesthetic with BIGOTRE’s best-selling bags including the drawstring bag “PURSE” and the compact leather handbag “BREAD,” with Carne Bollente’s sex-positive aesthetic, the designs offer a creative yet subtle way to begin the conversation.
Some designs are more outlandish, with one of the leather bags featuring a phallic silhouette as a nose for the smiley face, while others focus on the natural motif of sex for a subtle design. The collaborative items will be sold online at BIGOTRE and Carne Bollente beginning on May 20. Take a look above at what is offered.
