Kotobukiya's Latest Boba Fett Statue Celebrates the Bounty Hunter's Prototype White Armor
A limited drop ‘Star Wars’ fans can’t miss.
Many Star Wars fans may have missed out on Hasbro’s Black Series Boba Fett in his white prototype armor after the collectible sold out almost immediately on Amazon back in January, but luckily you’ll now have a second chance at purchasing this iteration of the galaxy’s most notorious bounty hunter thanks to Japanese toymaker Kotobukiya. Created as a limited-edition run in tribute to this year’s Star Wars Celebration, the new Boba Fett statue features the character at 1/10th scale and stands roughly 7.5 inches tall.
Unlike his usual green, brown and gray look, Fett is instead dressed in a pristine white from head to toe in the way he was originally imagined for the film, which pitched him as a super Stormtrooper instead of a bounty hunter. In fact, he actually appeared in this outfit during a screen test back in 1978. Cradled between his arms is then is his signature EE-3 carbine rifle fully blacked out, and a magnetic base down low to keep him upright.
For those interested, Kotobukiya’s limited-edition ARTFX+ Boba Fett statue in white armor will be available first at Star Wars Celebration 2022 and subsequently at select retailers. Fans should definitely be on the lookout for when it drops.
Elsewhere in a galaxy far, far away, Hasbro has unveiled a Force FX iteration of Obi-Wan Kenobi’s lightsaber.
