New Balance 2002R Protection Pack Delivers Two Classic Colorways in Second Drop
Including “Mirage Grey” and “Dark Navy.”
Following the last drop of Salehe Bembury’s New Balance 574 YURTs, the New Balance 2002R Protection Pack has arrived on HBX with its second drop of two new colorways.
Conceptualized by NB designer Yue Wu, the pack first introduced last year reimagines the 2002R model, also dubbed “dad shoes.” The retro running styles are updated with deconstructed details, including layered, rugged suede overlays dressed in weathered colors. Rounding out the design are mesh underlays and two-tone midsoles fitted with the N-ERGY cushioning and shock absorption technology.
First up the latest lineup is the “Mirage Grey” edition, which features NB’s signature gray color scheme contrasted by the tongue, “N” logo, and midsole in off-white. On the other hand, the “Dark Navy” version is dominated by the brand’s classic dark blue tones accented by gray laces and heels.
Priced at $170 USD, the New Balance 2002R Protection Pack “Mirage Grey” and “Dark Navy” are now up for raffle online from HBX from May 18, 9:00 a.m. EST – May 20, 9:00 a.m. EST.
In case you missed it, Joe Freshgoods and New Balance are releasing the all-new JFG 9060 “Inside Voices.”
