Following the release of an official teaser, which mainly built up excitement around the return of the show with a recap of previous seasons, Netflix‘s Love Death + Robots has now teased new film stills offering a first look at the upcoming animation styles in Part 3 of the anthology series. The stills showcase a far-reaching range of environments and characters which range from a deckhand manning a damaged boat to a futuristic astronaut in some distant land. Recognizable figures include the K-VRC, XBOT 4000, and 11-45-G bots from the popular season one episode “Three Robots,” written by Philip Gelatt. We also get a closer look at the rare piece of new content teased in the trailer, featuring a tribal princess-looking character completely drenched in jewelry.

“Emmy-winning animated anthology Love, Death + Robots returns with a third volume executive produced by Tim Miller (Deadpool, Terminator: Dark Fate) and David Fincher (Mindhunter, Mank). Terror, imagination and beauty combine in new episodes which stretch from uncovering an ancient evil to a comedic apocalypse, telling startling short stories of fantasy, horror and science-fiction with trademark wit and visual invention,” reads the series synopsis.

Netflix confirms that Season 3 will contain eight episodes, which premiere on May 20.

Elsewhere in entertainment, the first Avatar: The Way of Water film stills have surfaced.
