Wrist Check: Scottie Scheffler Wears Rolex GMT-Master II at Masters Ceremony

Scottie Scheffler has been crowned the winner of this year’s Masters golf tournament.
The 25-year-old is now the 86th Masters champion, shooting 10 under par with Rory McIlroy following behind with 7 under par. Helped into the Green Jacket by last year’s winner Hideki Matsuyama — who was wearing a ref. 126610LV Sub — Scheffler opted for a two-tone Everose gold and steel GMT-Master II ref. 126711CHNR “Root Beer.”
Rolex has a long celebrated history with the Masters tournament, so the wrists of many were gleaming with iconic timepieces. As Scottie’s first major title in his golf career, the Root Beer is an interesting pick and helps in shedding some light on a color scheme that has been with Rolex for decades, and is now updated in a more modern expression. This watch retails for $14,00 USD but is currently trading for roughly $26,000 USD.
