Nike Kobe 6 Protro "Mambacita Sweet 16" Will Release Through Exclusive Access on SNKRS

Vanessa Bryant made it a point that if Nike was going to resume dropping anything products tied to the Black Mamba, it would have to be on her and the Bryant estate’s terms. Now that an agreement has been reached, the Beaverton brand’s basketball category is ready to launch Kobe‘s signature shoes again, and the Nike Kobe 6 Protro “Mambacita Sweet 16” will be the first to kick things off.
Nike has announced that this pair will be released through exclusive access via the SNKRS app on Sunday, May 1 in select regions. Per Nike, this decision was made to “prioritize members who have put the Mamba Mentality to work on the court and fans who have followed Kobe and Gigi’s journey from the beginning.” In addition to the app launch, a SNKRS Pass reservation drop will also go down for those that live in the Greater Los Angeles Area. Proceeds from the shoe will benefit the Mamba and Mambacita Sports Foundation in an effort to honor Gigi Bryant’s impact and her goal to build a better, more inclusive future for the game.
