The Nike Air Force 1 Mid Receives a "Panda" Makeover
Arriving in sherpa fleece and fuzzy suede.
While the simple two-tone “Panda” releases have always been popular from Nike, the Swoosh has taken the reference up a notch this time, dressing the upcoming Air Force 1 Mid “Culture Day” in a mix of fuzzy materials. The upcoming pairs arrive in a white sherpa fleece base with black hairy suede overlays across the mudguard, heel, and collar strap.
Black tones continue on the lateral leather Swoosh, heel tab, and inner lining while creamy hues are spread over the eye stays. Additional details are found on the medial side swooshes, which opt for a bejeweled look, arriving in gloss black and silver lining.
Insoles and bottoms feature an image collage of different references to Japan including the Ueno Park Panda, the giant buddha statue in Kamakura, and the many fish markets in the country, and icy translucent outsoles complete the design.
