Official Images of the Hello Kitty x Nike Air Presto

The remaining months of 2022 is going to see a multitude of new footwear collaborations from Nike, but one can argue that few will measure up to the level of excitement over the Hello Kitty x Nike Air Presto. An official release of this team-up was originally slated to go down back in 2004, but the launch was eventually scrapped and a minuscule amount of pairs ended up trickling out to friends and family.

The wait is now over as official images of the pair have finally surfaced, essentially confirming that a public drop is on its way. A majority of the upper is dyed in a sky blue tone and decorated in all-over fashion with imagery of the Yuko Shimizu-designed character’s face. Side cages and laces are done up in white and come complemented with an oversized red bow tie atop the tongues and heel molds that are styled up with another bow tie, black whiskers and eyes to make out the Sanrio icon. Interiors are lined with a soft black velour material and feature insoles that are printed with rainbows, green grass and blue skies to reflect a Sanrio haven. The kicks also come packaged in a special box that features Nike Swoosh logos stacked below the Hello Kitty bow.

Early reports have these scheduled to drop on May 27 via Nike SNKRS and select retailers.
